Orphica: Art Magic - Oriental dance It is part of ancient sacred rituals. One of the last Masters of mystical oriental was Georgi Ivanovich Gurdzieff. Dances, which he taught to his students, were called sacred exercises. But really they were ancient rituals. Word "ritual" means in Sanskrit language: "rita" - signifies order, and in Russian language it sounds like word "rhythm". Rituals were considered sacred because they carried the knowledge of the highest cosmic order. Person, who mastered this knowledge, the knowledge of dances, received the rarest opportunity to obtain the knowledge of the highest cosmic order. In one of the books of Carlos Kastaneda are described situations, where he and his Master Don Juan observed dances of Dona Hinara, and suddenly Don Juan told:

But really knows just one part of us, which is called "Mind". We have 3 fundamental parts: emotions, mind and body. And when in us the one who knows, are emotions, or mind or body, then we don't have the right to consider that we know something. For example, simple situation: to drive a car. If you have only heard how to drive a car, or if you have only seen it, then you don't have sufficient knowledge to drive from one point to another. In order it would happen, it seems, it is necessary to practice, it means your body needs to know it. But you cannot know it even if you don't want it; it means if your emotions are not in it. This way we see that we can drive a car only when we know how with all our mass, how tells Georgi Ivanovich Gurdzieff, indicating by it: knowing with body, mind and emotions. And only through the knowledge, received through mystical oriental dances, we can have marvelous opportunity to receive the knowledge of cosmic order. Why it is so valuable? Because cosmic order governs not only the Universe, but it governs everything, including us, human beings. And when we understand this cosmic order, we can understand what governs us, and how to live with it, and what to do with it. Then we are not only able to govern ourselves, our body, our life and destiny, but we can govern the world. But for that is needed constantly, with total wish, to do what is proposed in sacred rituals, in these dances. Imagine an objective book; if we read it just one time, then we have the feeling that we know something. But the secret of this book is when we attentively read it the second time, even more deep knowledge is ready to open for us. If we read the same book the third time, we start to see something that we didn't notice before, something that is very valuable. The same is with the dance. It is like a book. Dancing this sacred mystical dance, concentrating continuously, and doing these exercises more and more deeply, you will receive more and more deep knowledge.
